Ricky Miller (born 13 March 1989) is a footballer who plays as a forward for Luton Town.[2]

Career

After spells in the academy systems at Charlton Athletic[3] and Woking, Richard started his senior football career in St Albans with Queens Head Sandridge, scoring a hattrick on this debut at London Road. He had a short time at the Former County Champions, lasting only 10 games(scoring 25 goals) striking a deadly relationship with legendary Queens Head forward Phillip Turner before he moved on to Stamford. Miller joined Stamford in September 2006, debuting as a last minute substitute in the club's 2-1 home defeat to Lincoln United in an FA Cup First Qualifying Round Replay on 19 September 2006.[4] He joined Leicestershire Senior League Division One side Cottesmore Amateurs on dual terms, scoring twice on his debut: a 6-4 defeat at Ashby Ivanhoe on 23 September 2006.[5] He then linked up with Bourne Town, again on a dual basis, debuting in the club's 4-0 home United Counties League defeat to Boston Town on 18 October 2006.[6] He then agreed dual terms with Rothwell Town, spending the latter half of the season with the club and scoring his first senior hat-trick in the club's 3-0 Southern Football League Division One Midlands home victory over Bromsgrove Rovers on 6 March 2007.[7] Although offered terms by Stamford for the 2007-08 season,[8] Miller instead chose to join Corby Town[9] reuniting him with his former Rothwell Town manager Alan Biley who had moved to act as Kevin Wilson's assistant at Corby. Ricky re-joined Stamford early in the 2012-2013 season and scored 19 in 13 games before leaving in early January, only to return weeks later and score another 20 including 2 in the play-off victory. After firing Stamford to promotion to the Evo-Stick Premier through the play-offs Ricky attracted plenty of interest. He joined up with Boston United again, the club he called his 'home'. He went on to score 28 goals in 46 games but that wasn't enough to earn the pilgrims a play-off spot as they narrowly missed out. He won Skrill North player of the year in that season.

On 25 June 2014, Miller joined Luton Town on a one-year deal from Boston United.[10] On 2 September 2014, Miller joined Dover Athletic on loan[11] before being recalled by Luton Town on 17 October after scoring five goals in ten appearances.[12] Miller made his début for Luton Town the following day in a 2–1 away victory over Hartlepool United.[13]
