Richmond Strikers is a soccer club based in Henrico County, a suburb of Richmond, Virginia. The club is known for its excellent teams and coaching staff. The Strikers are also the host of the Jefferson Cup, one of the largest soccer tournaments in the United States. In 2006, the Strikers merged with Virginia CASL, making Strikers the largest club in Virginia. The Strikers' colors are orange, white, and black. They have two leagues, travel and recreational. Their biggest rival is the Richmond Kickers. In 2010, they announced a working relationship with the EPL English Premier League club, Arsenal.[1]
The Strikers were formed in 1975 as Three Chopt Soccer Association. In 1986, they adopted the Strikers name.[2]
