Richard Lounder (born 20 January 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 4 games for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League, kicking 5 goals.
Lounder was a big framed ruckman who had much hype being taken at number one of the 1987 National Draft. He made his debut on round 5 of the 1989 VFL season kicking 4 goals against the Kangaroos, this would be his career highlight. His next 3 games were not as impressive and he did not play again in the VFL/AFL, returning to South Australia at the end of the season. He has been called the least successful number one draft pick in VFL/AFL history.
