Richard L. Steinberg (born December 23, 1972) is an American politician from Miami Beach, Florida. Steinberg was a member of the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida until his resignation in February 2012.

He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1994. Later he went on to receive his Masters in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami. Steinberg resigned from the Florida House in 2012.[1] He resigned after discovery of sexy messages he sent to a married Assistant US Attorney who instead of reciprocating, notified the Secret Service.

In November 2012, the investigation was closed clearing him of the allegations and calling the messages "playful and not threatening."
