Richard Herrick

Richard J. Herrick (Jun. 15, 1931 - Mar. 14, 1963) was the first recipient of a successful human organ transplant, receiving a kidney from his identical twin brother Ronald Lee Herrick in an operation performed by Joseph Murray in 1954.[1]
