Richard Hartis

Richard Hartis (born 16 September 1967) is an English coach and the current goalkeeping coach at Cardiff City F.C..

From 1987-1990 he was the youth goalkeeping coach at Sheffield United. He then proceeded to work at Mercyhurst College for 6 years, 3 years as head coach for the Men's and Women's teams from 1994-1997. In 3 seasons under Hartis, the men's team made the NCAA Division II Final Four once and the Elite Eight once. During his tenure with the Women's program, they made the NCAA tournament 2 out of 3 years.[1] Hartis then returned to England in 1997 to become goalkeeping coach at Manchester United's youth wing. Hartis also filled in as the First Team Goalkeeping Coach during Manchester's treble run in 2007-08. In 2008 he was appointed to first team goalkeeping coach at Molde FK, on January 2nd 2014 Hartis was appointed First team Goalkeeping coach at Cardiff. Hartis has never played professional football.[2]
