Richard Bienert
Richard Bienert (September 5, 1881 - February 2, 1949, both in Prague) was a Czechoslovakian politician. He served as Prime Minister of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from January 19, 1945 to May 5, 1945. He also served in protectorate governments as minister of interior. His ancestors originated of German Bohemian ethnic descent which had assimilated into Czech society.
Bienert was named as successor of prime minister Jaroslav Krejčí and also as substitute for president Hácha. After the end of World War II, he was sentenced to three years in prison, was released prematurely in 1947, and died two years later.
