Ryszard "Rich" Szaro (March 7, 1948 – April 7, 2015) was a Polish-born professional American football player who played placekicker for five seasons for the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints.[1]
Szaro moved to the United States in 1962 settling in New York City and studied at St. Francis Preparatory School in Brooklyn and Harvard University prior to his NFL career.[2] Szaro returned to Poland to live and work in the 1990s.[3]
