Rhys Turner (born 22 July 1995)[2] is an English football player who plays for Oldham Athletic.[5] He plays as a striker.
Career
Stockport County
Turner joined Stockport County as an 18-year-old from Myerscough College after scoring an "astonishing" 63 goals the previous season.[6]
Oldham Athletic
On 31 January 2014, Turner signed for Oldham Athletic for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £50,000, on an 18-month deal. Turner had several hamstring injuries at the start of the 2014-2015 season causing him to miss most games up to January. Turner made his first start of the season away at Leyton Orient on the 21st February 2015 on the right wing but was replaced on the 60th minute due to another injury. His next game for Oldham was on the 17th March were he replaced Conor wilkinson, he scored his first goal for Oldham in this game with a neat finish into the bottom corner. He started the next two games and scored a brace against local rivals Rochdale. [7]
