Rhoose (Welsh: Y Rhws) is a village and community located near the sea (the Bristol Channel) in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, near Barry.

The village is the location of Cardiff International Airport,[2] formerly RAF Rhoose,[3] a Holiday Park (Fontygary Leisure Park),[4] some shops, a library,[5] two public houses (The Fontygary Inn and the Highwayman), Rhoose Social Club, and an active Surf Life Saving Club (Rhoose Lifeguards).

Rhoose is one of the fastest growing villages in the Vale of Glamorgan, with the two newest developments being "The Hollies", and more recently, Rhoose Point. Further development of Rhoose Point was halted in 2008, because of concerns the drainage infrastructure would not cope.[6]

Rhoose Cardiff International Airport railway station, which was scheduled to re-open in 2003, suffered numerous bureaucratic delays before eventually re-opening in June 2005. There are now hourly train services to Cardiff and Bridgend via Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan.[7]
