Revolutionary Serbia

Revolutionary Serbia refers to the state founded by Serbian revolutionaries in Ottoman Serbia (Sanjak of Smederevo) after the Orašac assembly on February 14, 1804. The Porte officially recognized the state in 1807, for the first time, though the Serbian revolutionary army fought the Ottomans until 1815, when ceasefire was agreed.
