The Pine Resin-gall Moth (Retinia resinella) is a moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found from Europe to eastern Russia, China (Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia) and Japan.[2]

Resin gall

The wingspan is 16–22 mm. Adults are on wing from May to June.

The larva lives in the shoots of Pinus sylvestris where it causes a resin gall to develop. Development takes two years.

Parasites

The Larva are attached by the Tachinid fly Actia nudibasis.[3]
