Renato Júnior Luz Sanches (born 18 August 1997) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Benfica B.
Club career
Born in Lisbon, Sanches joined local and national giants S.L. Benfica's youth system in 2008, aged 11. Sanches made his professional debut in the 2014–15 campaign, with the B-team in the second division. He made his first appearance in the competition on 5 October 2014, starting and playing 46 minutes in the 2–2 away draw against C.D. Feirense.[1]
International career
Sanches gained 26 caps for Portugal all youth categories comprised. He represented Portugal in the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.[2]
