Reigate railway station is in the north of the compact town centre of Reigate, Surrey, England.

On the North Downs Line, the station is managed by Southern, which use it as one of their termini and provide an hourly direct service to London Bridge.[n 1] First Great Western provide services to Reading via Guildford and Gatwick Airport via Redhill.


Platforms

First-time users are often confused how to get between platforms when the ticket office is shut: there is a signposted but often overlooked underpass approximately 15 metres west of the ticket office over to Platform 2. On Sundays the ticket office is shut, so access to the less-used north platform (1) is enabled via a gate set into the fence approximately 40 metres further away from the subway. Westbound services to Dorking, Guildford and Reading always leave from the south platform (2); as a terminus, so too does the service to London Bridge via Redhill. Eastbound services toward Gatwick Airport via Redhill leave from platform 1.

Services

The weekday off-peak service is two tph[n 2] to Reading and three to Redhill (both on multi-operator served main lines) of which one continues to Gatwick Airport and one to London Bridge.

Unusually between Shalford and Reigate the 1tph 'stopping service' becomes semi-fast by having a pattern that alternates off-peak; one such service terminates at Redhill and the other semi-fast service continues to Gatwick Airport. As to the hourly fast services between Reading and Gatwick Airport, the only stations called at along the route are Reading, Wokingham, Blackwater, North Camp, Guildford, Dorking (Deepdene), Reigate, Redhill and London Gatwick.
