Reid State Park is a state park on Georgetown Island, in Sagadahoc County, Maine. The park's sandy beaches contrast with the usually rocky coast of Maine. Conditions allow for swimming during the summer months, with a natural inlet providing warmer and quieter waters. The park has picnic areas and a bathhouse.
Wildlife commonly found along the beaches include sandpipers, eider ducks, least terns, clams and mussels.
The land in the park was given to the people of Maine in 1946 by Walter Reid, a native of Georgetown who made his fortune in shipping.[2]
