Life and career
Scott was born on November 19, 1977, in Albany, New York, and attended Syracuse University before moving to New York City to pursue his acting/writing career. He lives in Los Angeles.
After landing roles in the off-Broadway play Cargo and several television commercials, Scott left for the West Coast with a leading role in the Fox pilot With You in Spirit. He has also appeared in an episode of Bones, on The Secret Life of the American Teenager as Dr. Jeff Tseguay, as Mike in Motorcity, and in CSI:NY as Seth Riggin (Season 4, Episode 14). Scott joined the cast of Showtime's The Big C in 2010. He played Dr. Todd Mauer, oncologist for the main character (played by Laura Linney).[1] He appeared on the big screen in films such as Real Steel and Losing Control.[2]
Scott is currently co-starring as Dan Egan on HBO's political comedy series Veep.[3]
He is voicing Turbo in the Netflix original animated series Turbo FAST.[4] The series is based on the 2013 film Turbo.
In June 2014, Scott joined the Nancy Meyers film, The Intern. The film also stars Academy Award winners Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The film has a scheduled release date of September 25, 2015.[5]
