Reginald L. Jones
Reginald L. Jones (1931-2005) was a clinical psychologist, college professor and president of the Association of Black Psychologists.[1]
College years
Reginald L. Jones received a bachelor's degree in psychology at Morehouse College and a master's degree in clinical psychology from Wayne University.[1] He received a PhD from Ohio State University.[1]
Career
Jones was a professor of African American Studies and Adjunct Professor, graduate professor of education at the University of California.[1] Jones was a clinical psychologist in military and state hospitals.[1] He was professor and vice chair of the department of psychology at Ohio State University.[1] He was employed at the University of California as professor and chair of the education department.[1] He was the director and professor at the University Testing Center at Haile Selassie I University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.[1] He taught at Fisk, UCLA, Miami, and Indiana Universities.[1] Jones was the president of the Association of Black Psychologists from 1971 to 1972.[1]
Publications
Dr. Jones produced more than 28 instructional tapes in Black psychology.[1] He has written more than 200 articles, chapters, reviews and technical reports, and has edited many books such as Black Psychology, Sourcebooks on the Teaching of Black Psychology,and Black Adolescents.[1]
