Current events
- There are speculations that the 2014 Ukrainian revolution may affect ammunition exports to the United States and other Western countries [22][23]
- As of 13 August 2013, all Red Army Standard 7.62×54mmR with a product code of AM1890 had been recalled due to one of their suppliers in Romania having shipped ammunition containing corrosive components.[24]
- Approximately as of 16 July 2014, there is no corrosive ammunition, including 7.62×54mmR, in circulation in the United States.[25]
- There were speculations that exports of 39mm long ammunition, such as 7.62×39mm, from Russia were halted or otherwise decreased.[26] This does not affect imports of Red Army Standard ammunition to USA because the exports are from other countries.
- As of 1st quarter 2014, Red Army Standard is planning to produce and sell 7.62×25mm Tokarev ammunition cartridges by year's end.[27]
- As of 26 June 2014, Red Army Standard is expecting to again begin shipping 7.62×54mmR non-corrosive ammunition in August 2014. Two type of this cartridge size will be available: one without copper jacketing and another with copper jacketing.[28][29]
