Rayanapadu is a village in Vijayawada (rural) mandal, located in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It lies about 14 north-east of Vijayawada. It has the one of the largest wagon workshops of Indian Railways.[3]
Demographics
As of 2011 census, the village had a population of 3,504. The total population constitute, 1,742 males and 1,762 females —a sex ratio of 1012 females per 1000 males. 323 children are in the age group of 0–6 years, of which 172 are boys and 151 are girls —a ratio of 878 per 1000. The average literacy rate stands at 79.13% with 2,517 literates, significantly higher than the state average of 67.41%.[2][4]
Transport
Rayanapadu railway station is the station located in Rayanapadu, which lies on the Kazipet–Vijayawada section and is one of nearest stations to Vijayawada.[5]
