Rawghlie Clement Stanford (August 2, 1879 – December 15, 1963) was the fifth Governor of Arizona and served from 1937 to 1939. Born in Buffalo Gap, Texas, he moved with his family to Phoenix Arizona in 1881 where he attended public schools and Arizona Normal School. He served in the army during the Spanish–American War. Stanford was a lawyer and served as Justice of the Arizona State Supreme Court after his governorship in 1943. He later became Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court in 1953.
Stanford died December 15, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona.
