Rasha Drachkovitch is an American television producer and President of 44 Blue Productions, which he co-founded with his wife, Stephanie Drachkovitch, in 1984.[2][3] Drachkovitch and his team are responsible for producing more than 60 series and 40 documentaries, equaling more than 1000 hours of programming, which have aired on domestic broadcast networks, 20 cable networks as well as in 120 countries around the world. Drachkovitch earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Stanford University. He is the son of a Yugoslavian university professor father and winery manager mother.[2][3] His maternal grandfather is Serbian-born painter Alex Dzigurski[4](born 1911), who emigrated to America in 1949.[5]

During his career, Drachkovitch has been shot at in Soweto, attacked in the West Bank by Palestinian protesters and chased down by the Yakuza in Tokyo. He has filmed at the US Special Forces and Caesars Palace. He was the first to film inside Chinese and Russian maximum-security prisons.[6]

As President of 44 Blue, Rasha currently is Executive Producer of A&E's top-rated and Emmy-nominated WAHLBURGERS, in association with Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, PIT BULLS & PAROLEES for Animal Planet, PECOS LEAGUE for FS1, KILLER KIDS for LMN, LOCKUP for MSNBC and NIGHT WATCH for A&E, produced in association with Dick Wolf.

Career

Before establishing 44 Blue Productions, Drachkovitch was a producer at Los Angeles KABC-TV's for "Eye on LA" and "Sports Line." He also served as director/editor for the syndicated sports series "Greatest Sports Legends".[6] Drachkovitch launched 44 Blue with the nationally syndicated "Bob Uecker's Wacky World of Sports", a sports blooper show he and Stephanie started with an $20,000 investment.[2][3]
