Raqesh Vashisth, formerly known as Rakesh Bapat, is an Indian actor.[1] He was the runner up in the 1999 Grasim Mr India contest, and first runners-up at the Mr Intercontinental.[2] He was in television commercials for Colgate and Wrigley's gum.[2] He played Aditya in the show Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?. His advertisement roles led to Bollywood film roles, starting with the movie Tum Bin in 2001 and including Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai. However, the movies he played in were not commercially successful or were not released at all.[2] He made his television debut in the serial Saat Phere.[2] He played Aditya in Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?, Rohan Mishra in Hongey Judaa Na Hum and Shlok in Seven. Vashisth replaced Karan Singh Grover in Qubool Hai in January 2014, but did not continue with that series when it made a time leap in early 2014.[3]
Vashisth is married to Riddhi Dogra his co star from Maryada. The couple got engaged on 2 March 2011.[1]
