Rangunia (Bengali: রাঙ্গুনিয়া) is an Upazila of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Geography

Rangunia is located at 22°28′00″N 92°05′00″E / 22.4667°N 92.0833°E . It has 46,176 households and a total area of 351.95 km².

Demographics

According to the 2011 Bangladesh census, Rangunia had a population of 450,000. Males constituted 51.9% of the population, and females 48.1%. The population aged 18 or over was 127,825. Rangunia had an average literacy rate of 35.4% (7+ years), against the national average of 32.4%.[1]
