Ramin Golestanian

Ramin Golestanian is an Iranian physicist. He is the winner of the 2014 Holweck Prize. He currently lives in the United Kingdom: a professor at the Physics Department of Oxford University. The prize was granted to Golestanian for his "pioneering contributions to the field of active soft matter, particularly microscopic swimmers and active colloids". The prize was presented to him at a ceremony in Paris on August 27th 2014.[1] He is a graduate of Sharif University of Technology and Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences.[2]
