Ramamohana Brahmachari

Ramamohana Brahmachari was a yoga teacher who lived in a cave in Himalayan mountains near Manasa Sarovar, Tibet along with his wife and three children.[1] He taught more than 3,000 asanas to his pupils including Tirumalai Krishnamacharya of Mysore.[2][3] He believed propagating yoga would be his guru dakshina.[4] Krishnamacharya, a noted yoga teacher of 20th century claimed that he stayed with Ramamohana Brahmachari for seven years in his cave and learnt various aspects of yoga, including stopping of pulse.[1] Ramamohana Brahmachari also taught therapeutic use of yoga.[4] He taught yoga sutra.[3]

Ramamohana Brahmachari taught yoga to Krishmacharya up to 1918, when the latter left for his native place Mysore and taught yoga to hundreds of people.[4]
