Ramūnas Butautas
Ramūnas Butautas (born May 22, 1964 in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, USSR) is a Lithuanian basketball coach. He is a son of Stepas Butautas. Currently working as a head coach for BC Astana.
On December 28, 2006 the executive committee of Basketball Federation of Lithuania unanimously decided that R.Butautas would become the head coach of the Lithuanian national men's basketball team. On December 2009 he was appointed head coach of Zalgiris Kaunas.[1] On February 9, 2010 Butautas was released from Žalgiris.[1] On March 16, 2011 Butautas was appointed head coach of VEF Rīga.[1] In June 2013 he signed a three-year extension with VEF Rīga, but following a disappointing season was relieved of his duties in June 2014.
