Rajshekhar or राज शेखर or راج شیکھر is an Indian lyricist and poet and was born and brought up in Madhepura, Bihar. He made his debut in Bollywood in 2011, when the film Tanu Weds Manu was released as a lyricist.[1]

Early life

Rajshekhar was born in a bihari family in Madhepura, Bihar. After that he majored in Hindi literature from Kirori Mal College, Delhi. Thereafter he gained his Masters from Delhi University. He continued his creative expressions through theatrical art often by acting, directing plays and writing scripts. Poetry has always been his constant passion which found place in all his creative endeavours.[2]

Career

He made his debut in Bollywood with Hindi movie Tanu Weds Manu, a 2011 Hindi romantic Comedy film directed by Anand L. Rai, and produced by Shailesh R Singh and stars R. Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut. He considers Lyrics to be a form of musical dialogue that sprouts from within the characters and must justify the context of a story. He is extremely sensitive to the objective of his lyrics and the intensity of a situation he is writing for.[3] He even appeared for small role in "ANWAR" movie.
