Rajnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: राजनगर विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Madhubani district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is reserved for scheduled castes.
Overview
As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 37 Rajnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Rajnagar and Andhratharhi community development blocks.[1]
Rajnagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 7 Jhanjharpur (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]
Election results
In the November 2010 state assembly elections Ram Lakhan Ram Raman of RJD won the newly created Rajnagar seat defeating his nearest rival Ramprit Paswan of BJP.[2]
