Rajat Tokas is an Indian soap opera Actor who played Prithviraj Chauhan in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan and Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar.[2]

He studied in the Hope Hall Foundation School, R. K. Puram, Delhi.[3]

In January 2015, he married Shrishti Nayyar, a theatre actor.[4][5]

Tokas started his television career with show Bongo as Ashu. Then he played the role of Tantya in Sai Baba He played the role of young Prithviraj Chauhan[6] in the series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan.

In 2010, Tokas was selected by Ekta Kapoor to play the parallel lead in Tere Liye[7] where he played the character of Robindo Ganguly. Later, he did episodic roles in Bandini and Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein

In 2012, he was once again selected by Kapoor to reprise the role of Emperor Akbar in her soap opera , Jodha Akbar[8][9] for which he went to won BIG Star Most Entertaining Television Actor - Male,[10] Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series,[11] Boroplus Gold Award for Best Actor in Lead Role (Critics),[12] Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role.[13]
