Rajan Biharilal Raheja (born c. 1954) is an Indian businessman who lives in Mumbai. Forbes magazine has identified him as a billionaire with a net worth of $2.15 billion,[1] making him the 30th richest person in India.[2]
Career
Raheja made his start in the construction business. After building a huge presence in the realty market, his Rajan Raheja Group diversified into manufacturing, financial services and media — each venture initiated to assume leadership in core areas. The group is a major media player in India, being the owners of Outlook Magazine. They also have a significant stakeholder in the growing convergence business in India, through Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd. and Hathaway Cable & Datacom Ltd.

- Real estate development is the original and main business of the Raheja group. Raheja Corp is one of the largest builders of residential and commercial property in India.
- Prism Cement Ltd., with two cement units, has a combined production capacity of 6.0 million tonnes
- H&R Johnson (India) Ltd., the top name in ceramic tiles in India.
- RMC Readymix (India) Pvt. Ltd. was set up in 1996 as a joint venture of the Raheja group with RMC Group Plc of the UK. It is now a division of Prism Cements Ltd. It operates 80 ready-mixed concrete plants in 27 cities/towns across India and is the third-largest concrete manufacturer in the country.

- Outlook (magazine) is a leading left-wing weekly political news magazine in India, wholly owned by the Raheja group
- Asianet Satellite Communications, wholly owned by the Rahejas, owns and operates a fibre optic cable network in Kerala
- Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd. has extensive cable network in 13 major cities & towns across India.
Other ventures
- Exide is the strongest brand of batteries in the automotive and industrial field and is wholly owned by the Rahejas
- Globus Stores Pvt Ltd. is India ’s one of the largest apparel brand chain, and is wholly owned by the Rahejas
- ING Life Insurance is a 50% JV between the Raheja group and the ING group of the Netherlands. The venture is already the 5th largest insurer in India.[3]
- Trident Hotels and Rajvilas luxury resort are two separate ventures jointly promoted by the Raheja group and Oberoi Hotels. The Rajvilas was ranked one of the 25 best villa hideaways in the world by Conde nast Traveller.
- Supreme Petrochem Ltd. is a joint venture of the Raheja group with Supreme Industries Ltd., the largest processor of plastic materials in India.[4]
