Raimon Land Plc (/ˈrmɒn/; Thai: ไรมอน แลนด์) is a real estate developer in Thailand. It has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on September 10, 1993, first under symbol RAIMON, and later as RML since May 2012.[2]

Raimon Land focuses on developing mid-to-high-end condominium, niche town house and villa projects in Bangkok and Thailand's main resort locations of Pattaya and Phuket.

History

Raimon Land was founded on 14 February 1987 and has been listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) since 10 September 1993.

With a primary focus on developing premium residential property, the company has a strong presence in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.

As of 2015, the majority shareholder of Raimon Land is JS Asset, a privately owned Singaporean investment company which acquired a controlling stake of the firm in 2013. JS Asset is also part of a group of high-profile global companies which include Ezra Holdings, Loyz Energy Limited, Klapsons Boutique Hotel, and Select Group.

Currently, the Raimon Land Chairman is Mr. Pradit Phataraprasit, a former Deputy Minister of Finance at Ministry of Finance, Thailand since September 2008, and former President of Thai Agro Exchange Company Limited; Director of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited from 2001 to 2004; Executive Director of Pattharaprasit Holding Company Limited from 1993 to 2007; Executive Director at Patra Porcelain Company Limited from 1988 to 2007; President of Siam Chao Phraya Holding Company Limited from 1988 to 1995, Executive Director of Bank of Asia Public Company Limited from 1988 to 1995 and Vice President of The Mall Group Company Limited from 1985 to 1988. He has been the Chairman of the Board at Raimon Land Public Company Limited since February 1, 2013 .[3] The Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Johnson Tan, appointed in May 2013.[4]

Past Developments

Since 2004, Raimon Land has completed 11 residential developments in Thailand, including:

Bangkok: 185 Rajadamri, The River, The Lakes, The Legend Sala Daeng, The Lofts Sathorn, The Lofts Yennakart.

Phuket: Kata Gardens, The Heights Phuket

Pattaya: Northshore, Northpoint, Zire Wongamat

Zire is now 91% sold with transfers commencing in late 2014. 185 Rajadamri was 89% sold at year end in 2014 and has achieved the highest price ever reached in the Bangkok market, with sales hitting well above 400,000b per sqm in 2014.[5]

Current Developments

Raimon Land PLC is currently in the process of constructing Unixx South Pattaya in Pattaya and The Lofts Ekkamai in Bangkok. The Lofts Ekkamai is scheduled for completion in 2016.[6]

UNIXX is a 7 rai development on Pratumnak Hill, and recently Raimon Land announced additional facilities targeting families both Thai and international, while construction has continued on target with completion scheduled year end 2015.[7]

Raimon Land’s latest project to date is a landed housing estate comprising 9 homes in the heart of the Sathorn business district of Bangkok. Designed by architect Sumeth Sukapanotharam. The Yen Akat development is the inaugural issue of Raimon Land’s new Limited Edition product line.[8]

Retail & Commercial

Raimon Land owns Vue, a community lifestyle mall already operating, adjacent to The River on Charoen Krung Road Soi 13 in the Thonburi Area of Bangkok and serves the surrounding community as well as resident of The River.

Space 48 is an 8-storey office building, with a total area of approximately 2,000 sqm, located on Rajadapisek Road, approximately 100 meters from the MRT Suthisan station.

Awards

Raimon Land was awarded the title of Best Developer for two consecutive years at the Thailand Property Awards 2007[9] and 2008[10] including the most recent win of “Best Condo Development (Eastern Seaboard) 2010” for Northpoint and “Best Condo Development (Thailand) 2009” for The Heights Phuket.

More recently, Raimon Land won the award for Best Luxury Condominium 2013 for their 185 Rajadamri development [11]
