Rahul Bhat is an Indian actor.[1]

He was born into a Kashmiri Pandit family in Srinagar on December 7 1977 and moved to Mumbai in the 1990s. He was very active in theatre and dramatics all through his schooling years, participating in all levels of drama competitions.

He started his career with commercials then became a fashion model. He won The Mr. India title in 2000 and was amongst the highest paid models of that time. He played the role of "Sameer" on the television serial Heena, which aired for almost five years.

Bhat debuted in Umesh Mehra's love saga Yeh Mohabhat Hai. This was followed by the comedy Nayee Padosan.

Rahul then became a television producer, launching Filmtonic Entertainment in 2007 with the serial Meri Doli Tere Angana. This was followed by Chu Kar Mere Manko and Tum Dena Saath Mera.

Rahul Bhat returned to acting in Anurag Kashyap's film Ugly. The film has won him great reviews at the Cannes film festivals and critics alike. He is currently shooting with acclaimed director Sudhir Mishra for latest film "Aur Devdas" in Lucknow.
