Raghu Mukherjee (born 1981) is an Indian Kannada film actor and model,[1] who won the 'Grasim' Mr. India and Mr. International title both held at New Delhi, India in the year 2002.[2][3]
He made his film debut in Paris Pranaya (2003) directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar and has also appeared in Savaari (2009) and the gangster-based film Dandupalya (2012).[4]
Early life and education
Raghu Mukherjee was born in April 1981, and brought up in Bengali family in Bangalore.[5]
Career
Mukherjee won the 'Grasim' Mr. India title in February 2002 [2] soon started receiving modelling assignments and thus pursued modelling for a while.[6][7] He started his film career, after he won the Mr.International title in October 2002, at the age of 20,[3] with Kannada director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar for his film Paris Pranaya released in 2003.
It was 2009 released Savaari that gave Raghu a recognition for his acting skills. It was a box office success and widely acknowledged film.[8][9] Later he went on acting in few more films like Prema Chandrama and Nee Illadhe (2011).
His 2012 release was the gangster drama Dandupalya. .The same year it was announced that he is playing the role of Buddha for his upcoming Baraguru Ramachandrappa directorial Angulimala.[10]
He has also been a reality TV show host and done eight TV commercials over the years.[11]
Personal life
He is married to Bhavana Mukherjee.[11]
