Raghav (surname)
Jayas rajput, and sikarwar rajput clans claim descent from Suryavanshi king Raghu, his grandson Lord Rama, and Rama's son Lava. These clans use Raghav as their surname (or last name). Raghavs are suryavanshi rajputs.[1] They ruled several kingdoms and princely states in premodern India.[2][3]
Etymology
The word Raghav is mentioned in several ancient Hindu texts, including the Vedas, the Ramayana, and the Mahabharata. The word Raghav was used for the Lord Rama.
