Rachele Brooke Smith (born November 7, 1987) is an American actress and dancer. Her dance talent has been featured in films such as Center Stage: Turn It Up, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, and Burlesque.
Biography
Rachele was born to Tracy and Dr. Kris Smith. She is the second oldest of five children. Growing up in Arizona, Rachele developed a wide variety of athletic interests including skiing, tennis, break dancing and teaching. She graduated from high school in 2006 and continued her education in Utah. Currently, she is majoring in Psychology and is pursuing a Masters in Human Services and Management.[1]
Since her arrival in Hollywood less than five years ago, Rachele has been featured as a dancer in the Robert Zemekis adaptation of A Christmas Carol, the Zac Efron comedy 17 Again and in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Rachele also danced as an Ironette in Iron Man 2, and most recently was a featured dancer in the new musical Burlesque, starring Cher and Christina Aguilera.
Rachele has played lead roles opposite Peter Gallagher in the 2008 film, Center Stage: Turn It Up and in 2009 she played the villainous Avery in a new installment of the Bring It On franchise, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish with Christina Milian. Rachele has just concluded work on the upcoming comedy Beach Bar where she played the spunky lead character Sara West.[2]
Rachele Brooke Smith made her television debut when she guest-starred in Acting Out (2007) for PAX TV, and last year, was featured on Lifetime's hit series, How to Look Good Naked hosted by Carson Kressley. Recently Rachele has been featured in ABC's drama series, Eli Stone, Glee (most notably as a featured dancer in the season premiere episode "Britney/Brittany"), and the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother as the Lady In Red. Most recently she was one of the dancers (uncredited) in season 1 episode 6 of Mobbed.
Rachele has also become the face of various marketing campaigns for Skechers, Capezio Dancewear, Nappy Tabs Hip-Hop Gear, Gap's 2009 holiday campaign, and Old Navy. Recently, she has appeared in music videos for John Legend and Andre 3000.
Charity
Rachele Brooke Smith is involved in significant charity work, and works closely with the following charities: The City of Angels Ballet, In A Perfect World, Red Eye and Global Angels. She also spends much of her time being active with her local church and volunteering for organizations benefiting the homeless women, and children in need.[3]
