Rachel Sylvester
Rachel Mynfreda Sylvester (born 1969) is a British political journalist who writes for The Times.
Education
Sylvester was educated at South Hampstead High School, an independent school for girls in Hampstead in North West London, followed by Somerville College at the University of Oxford.[1]
Career
Daily Telegraph
Sylvester joined the The Daily Telegraph newspaper in 1992 and stayed until 1998. From 1999-2008 she was the assistant political editor at The Daily Telegraph.
The Independent on Sunday
From 1998-1999, Sylvester was the Political Editor of the Independent on Sunday newspaper.
The Times
Sylvester joined The Times newspaper in June 2008, where she writes a weekly political column.[2]
Personal life
Sylvester has two sons (born in 2004 and 2006) by her husband, Patrick Wintour, the Political Editor of The Guardian since 2006, whom she married in 2002 in north London. She lives in north-east London.
