Early life
Feinstein grew up outside Washington, D.C.[1] Her parents were a civil rights lawyer and a blues musician.[2] Her father is from a Jewish family and her mother converted to Judaism.[3] She moved to New York City at age 17 to start her career as an actress and slowly developed her character-driven standup act.[4]

Feinstein was a finalist on Season 7 of Last Comic Standing.[5]
Rachel plays a comedian performing as herself in the feature film Her Composition.,[6] directed by Stephan Littger.
Personal life
On the Dudley and Bob Radio Show (KLBJ-FM, Austin, TX), Feinstein announced that her boyfriend is a comedy writer who writes on one of her television shows.[7] During a December 2014 appearance on The View,[8] Feinstein revealed her boyfriend is Executive Producer of TruTV's Impractical Jokers.
