RT Aurigae is an F-type yellow supergiant with a mean apparent magnitude of +5.75. It is approximately 1561 light-years from Earth. It is classified as a Cepheid variable star and its brightness varies from magnitude +5.00 to +5.82 with a period of 3.73 days.[3]
