RTP Informação is a public Portuguese 24-hour news channel operated by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal available on basic cable and satellite. The channel was launched in 2001 as NTV, a cable news channel headquartered in Porto. It was originally a joint-venture between PT Multimédia, Lusomundo and the Radiotelevisão Portuguesa. In 2003 it was completely acquired by RTP, and with the merger between RTP and Radiodifusão Portuguesa (RDP), forming Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, it became RTPN in 2004.

RTPN debuted a 24-hour schedule on September 29, 2008. Until then, RTPN simulcasted with Euronews during the early morning. Since mid-2009, RTPN became available outside Portugal, through cable TV providers in Angola and Mozambique. On September 19, 2011, RTPN was renamed to RTP Informação, beginning with a simulcast of Bom Dia Portugal which refreshed its graphics.

The channel produces news output and factual programmes for RTP1, RTP2 and RTP Internacional, and simulcasts most domestic news programmes aired on RTP1.

Despite most of its programming being news-related, occasionally the channel also airs some sports programming, such as the Olympics and the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Unlike the other national RTP channels, the channel's continuity and playout is handled at the Monte da Virgem studios, near Porto.
