RJ (rapper)

Reginald Palmer Jr.,^[1] better known as his stage name RJ is a rapper from Los Angeles, California who is signed to YG's label Pu$haz Ink, as well as DJ Mustard's new 10 Summer Records. A majority of his popularity stems from his frequent collaborations with both YG and DJ Mustard. The artist's most celebrated releases to date are his mixtapes O.M.M.I.O and his collaborative tape Rich Off Mackin with 10 Summer label mate Choice, (formerly Royce The Choice).

Musical Career

2013–present: Signing & Breakthrough

After signing to Pu$haz Ink, RJ released his debut mixtape O.M.M.I.O in 2013, which stands for On My Mama I'm On. The tape is hosted and largely produced by DJ Mustard. RJ would then appear on the songs Thank God (Interlude) & When I Was Gone from YG's 2014 debut album, My Krazy Life.^[2] In July of 2014 RJ released his second mixtape Takin Niggas Beats, contrary to his first mixtape, the beats for this one were solely made up of beats from other rappers that were remixed by RJ. Later that year, DJ Mustard released his debut album 10 Summers, RJ appeared on the tracks Low Low, Throw Your Hood Up & No Reason.^[3] In the beginning of 2015, RJ collaborated with Choice to release the critically acclaimed mixtape Rich Off Mackin, which marked the first official release for 10 Summer Records.^[4] Additionally, RJ appeared on the DJ Mustard mixtape Ketchup, as well as the YG mixtape Just Re'd Up 2.^[5][6] He is currently preparing to release a new mixtape in May, O.M.M.I.O 2.
