Quintiq is a Supply Chain Planning and Optimization (SCP&O) software company, based in the Netherlands.[1]
History
The company was founded in 's-Hertogenbosch, in September 1997,[2] by former Bolesian employees,[3] including Dr. Victor Allis and Arjen Heeres.[4]
Present
Quintiq provides advanced planning, scheduling and supply chain optimization software solutions. Still globally headquartered in 's-Hertogenbosch, its North American headquarters are in Radnor, Pennsylvania. The company also has offices in: Rome, Italy; Vantaa, Finland; Düsseldorf, Germany; London, England; Paris, France; Petaling Jaya, Malaysia;[5] Melbourne, Australia; and Shanghai, China.[6] Quintiq employs approximately 800 people worldwide.[7]
Having presently deployed software in more than 80 countries,[8] Quintiq has 250 customers in 90 countries. The companies customers include: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines;[9] DHL;[10] P&O Ferrymasters;[11] Federal Aviation Administration;[12] Novelis;[13]
Allis remains the CEO of the privately held company,[1] which in 2012 sold a 48-percent stake to two Philadelphia-based investment firms.[7][14]
Acquisition
On July 24, 2014, Dassault Systems announced plans to acquire Quintiq[15] for $336 million.[16] The deal is subject to regulatory approval in Germany and Austria.
