Queen Silvia Nursing Award
The Queen Silvia Nursing Award is a yearly scholarship award that was established in 2013 as a gift to Queen Silvia of Sweden for her 70th birthday.[1][2][3] Applicants for the scholarship are required to showcase an idea that promotes long term health and social care, particularly in the area of dementia and elderly care.[4][5]
In its first year of operation the scholarship was only open to nursing students in Sweden, but in 2014 the program expanded to include nursing students in Finland as well.[6]
