Queen Anne Grammar School

Queen Anne Grammar School for Girls was a single-sex female state grammar school in the city of York, England. It was opened in January 1910 as the Municipal Secondary School for Girls. The school’s name was changed in 1920 and Queen Anne was chosen as it was situated in Queen Anne’s Road. The school motto was Quod Potui Perfeci.[1]

The school was converted into a co-educational comprehensive school in 1985. It closed in 2000.[2]
