Qeqertarsuaq (Upernavik)

Qeqertarsuaq is an island in Qaasuitsup municipality, near Upernavik, in northwestern Greenland.

Qeqertarsuaq (meaning "Large Island") is the name of several islands in Greenland. The island near Upernavik should not be confused with the much larger island Qeqertarsuaq, better known as Disko Island, or the smaller island Qeqertarsuaq (Herbert Island) near Qaanaaq (Thule).

Qeqertarsuaq in Upernavik has an area of 269 km². The only settlement on the island is Upernavik Kujalleq (Søndre Upernavik).

Qeqertarsuaq in Upernavik is also known as Qeqertaq, meaning just "Island". Qeqertaq Island is also the name of another island near Upernavik (Danish: Skalø) and of a settlement in Qasigiannguit.
