Qatana District (Arabic: منطقة قطنا) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Rif Dimashq Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 official census, the district had a population of 207,245.[1] Its administrative centre is the city of Qatana.
The district is located just to the east of Mount Hermon.
Sub-districts
The district of Qatana is divided into three sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Qatana Nahiyah (ناحية قطنا): population 146,344.[2]
- Beit Jen Nahiyah (ناحية بيت جن): population 15,668.[3]
- Sa'sa' Nahiyah (ناحية سعسع): population 45,233.[4]
