Putkaqucha (Quechua putka muddy (Jauja Quechua), qucha lake, lagoon,[2][3] "muddy lake", hispanicized and erroneous spelling Putcococha) is a lake in Peru located in the Junín Region, Concepción Province, Andamarca District.[4] It lies north-east of the Paryaqaqa mountain range, south of the mountain Putkaqucha (Putcacocha). The mountain which is situated at 11°44′27″S 74°56′43″W / 11.74083°S 74.94528°W.[5] is named after the lake.
