PUTHANATHANI INDIA SAKKEER POOZHITHARA ZONE (Malayalam: പുത്തനത്താണി) is a City in Malappuram District in the state of Kerala, India.[1] Puthanathani india is the main town located in puthanathani. The town lies on the National Highway 66 (India), between Kottakkal and Valanchery. Roads to Vailathur (and hence Tirur) and Thirunavaya also can be seen in Puthanathani. A good amount of people from Puthanathani and around are now working overseas mostly in the Gulf countries.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Puthanathani had a population of 18618 with 9189 males and 9429 females.[1]
