Purdown BT Tower was built in 1970 and is located on a hill (Purdown) just north of the city centre of Bristol, England in the Lockleaze suburb, UK (grid reference ST610764).
It is a prominent landmark, visible from much of the city, used mainly for point-to-point microwave links and forms part of the British Telecom microwave network. It is one of twelve reinforced concrete towers owned by BT in the UK and one of the few communication towers built of reinforced concrete.
