Pseudohypertension in the elderly
Pseudohypertension in the elderly or noncompressibility artery syndrome is a condition believed to be due to calcification of the arteries resulting in abnormally high blood pressure readings with a blood pressure cuff while intra arterial measurements of blood pressure are normal.[1] This condition however is associated with significant cardiovascular disease risk.[1]
