The first attestation of the name is the Greek Pribeslavos (Πριβέσθλαβος[1]), in Latin Pribesthlabus[2] or Preuuisclao,[3] in Serbian Prvoslav or Pribislav (meaning "First-glorified"; from the words prvo - first, and slava - glory).
